A new begining
With the release of GTA IV I really want to get an XBOX 360. This isn’t anything new, but now its in overdrive. I really want to try the online.
Here is the dilemma though, no its not that I can’t afford it, I feel like I am at a point in my life where I need a new Handle. Hans Gillman is good for certain games, but I feel i need something with more ring to it and maybe even that will incite fear in young children and old men. How am I supposed to intimidate children while playing UNO on XBOX live when my name just sounds like normal foreign guy. (Normal foreign guy in the Internet world = pervert or pedophile and no child is afraid of that). Hans Gillman can only get anger from a draw 4 wild, I want fear even on a red 2 (and I’m not talking about Wedge Antilles).
Any thoughts?
Relocation
Well I am sorry about the lack of posts lately. Most people who read this know I am moving to Hartford, CT next month and have been working on my resume and trying to find a job. Apparently this takes a lot of time. BUt fear not my loyal fans, there will be more posts to heckle me on shortly.
Taking a bit out of Apple
RANT WARNING
First i apologize for the bad heading but I am not too happy with our good friends apple. I have been a big fan of apple for a while, but lately geeze you guys need to calm down.
Fist apple is suing New York city for using an apple in its logo. Are you frakin’ serious? How long has New York been the big apple?? Well I don’t know and I am too lazy to look it up, but I am going to say longer than Steve Jobs has even been alive. This is just as bad as the recent T-Mobile suing Engadget Mobile for using a similar shade of purple in their logo.
Now you want to piss me off more?? I do not want SAFARI!! If i wanted it I would have downloaded it myself. I thought about it, I really did, but now that its in every software update that apple pushes out I’m not going to download it. A software update is to, get this, update software. If i don’t have it, then there is nothing to update. Don’t take advantage of the fact that everyone has iTunes and doesn’t notice what they are downloading. Thats an unacceptable line to cross.
Oh also whats the point of a $16,000 laptop that doesn’t have a cd or dvd-drive or a sleek touch screen phone without 3G.
Apple, this is your warning.
(NOTE: This is an empty threat, I wouldn’t even hit a child, but then again thats probably because most children are tougher than I am.)
The Mets rickroll was a success!!
News Day posted an article last night after the Mets Home Game opener.
As per my last post, Digg users united to all vote for Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley and according to this article it received over 5 million votes.
After a crowd of boos the Mets management decided despite the song winning the poll, they are not going to use it as their 8th inning sing a-long after all.
But hey that is the last home game opener for the Mets at Shae Stadium ever, so no better time to be rickrolled.
Here is the video
Rickroll the Mets
People on Digg are rallying to Rickroll the Mets.
I find this hillarious. The mets are doing a vote for the 8th inning sing-a-long and they are trying to get people to write in “Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley”.
I first heard about this campaign on BOL, but I didn’t look it up until now. I sure hope it works. I will get such a kick out of this at the next Mets game I go to if it plays. I am sure it won’t happen, but never underestimate the power of nerds, especially Nerds in Numbers!
Guitar Hero: If making an Aerosmith game wasn’t enough
- Do you want to be in the next Guitar Hero game???
- Do you like to quote unquote Rock out with your cock out?
- Do you like looking like an idiot on youTube?
- Do you still live in your parents basement apparently in England?
Well now you can!
Seriously enough of the terrible Guitar Hero promotions. It seems anyone who wants to throw together a promotion these days goes, “hey what the hell, lets just get a copy of Guitar Hero and let people play it”
This is not a promotion, it’s is a video game. It worked for a while, but you can’t go anywhere without seeing this now. I see it at least once a week. The ones the drive me the craziest is when they do it at the mall. At any given mall you can play Guitar Hero at a minimum of 2 stores. Why should I stand in center court and play when I can go somewhere else and there will be less of a line.
Ehh forget it I am going home to play. See you later it’s time to Rock out with my….
Whoa!! Bill and Ted Remake??
When I read about the remake of this movie, I have a different point of view. Everyone seems to be all against this. Saying without Keanu and whoever that other guy was, its not going to be good. NEWSFLASH: It wasn’t good to begin with, that is what made it most excellent.
I am usually against remakes, as I have told Michael Bay a few times and will soon tell J.J. Abrams, but really what are you going to ruin. I was under the impression that Harold and Kumar go to white castle was all ready a gnarly remake of Bill and Ted.
I recently interviewed the other guy from Bill and Ted and asked him a few questions about what he thought about the remake. His answers were pretty surprising. More surprising was that he now works as a telephone repair man.
Me: How is it going the other guy from Bill and Ted.
Other Guy: …..
Me: Well that’s tubular, I am glad you are so good you have nothing to say. I am sure all four readers o this blog want to know, how did you end up working with telephone booths? Were you just trying to relive your past? I mean you are working with phones and I am pretty sure you are high right now. Your life sounds like a much less exciting version of the movies.
Other Guy: ….
Me: You should try and timetravel in the phone booth now, just for fun. Or have you already tried that? Maybe you can go back to when people remembered your name. (NOTE: I don’t think anyone ever remembered his name)
Other Guy: (puzzled look)……
Me: Good talk brah, keep up the good work.
So when it came down to it I didn’t even ask him anything about the movie, but I feel like I covered my bases.
UPDATE: Apparently the other guy is dead. I have no idea who that stoner was that I interviewed, but it explains his confusion.
JERICHO!!!
Every once in a while I get obsessed with certain things, some call it an addictive personality.
So I haven’t posted in a while, basically because I started watching Jericho. It’s only been a few days but I have 3 episodes left in the series. When it is fully finished I’ll let you know if it was as amazing as the rest of the series, but the show was cancelled so I don’t know if it ends abruptly. We can always hope for a movie, like with Serenity.
The premise of the show is that nuclear bombs were used to destroy more than 20 cities in the USA and is focused on the town of Jericho. The psychographics of the show are great, how some people react to the fact that no one is coming to help them, but I digress. I am not going to go into crazy details, just watch it.
I will go as far as to say that Jericho is as good, if not better, as Lost before it jumped the shark.
