Live action Smurfs?

June 11, 2008 By: BC Category: 80's, brian carl, movies, smurfs 7 Comments →

I get it Hollywood is spent of ideas. HecklerSpray has an article about the new smurfs movie and that it will be live action.

It worked for transformers and Alvin and the chipmunks, so they figure what other cartoons from that period can we recreate.

  • Well Thundercats?? Nah putting cats in human clothes is more effort than its worth.
  • DinoRiders? They are saving that for Jurassic Park 4.
  • Bucky O’Hare? Hero movies are trendy. but nobody respects rabbits.

I just picture this movie being the Blue Man Group combined with Honey I shrunk the Kids and my grandfather chasing them down with Eiffel 65 playing in the background.

If I could see one 80’s show as a live action movie it would definitely be Pirates of Dark Water. That show was awesome, but really they could only ruin it.

3G iPhone

So I am sure everyone heard about the new 3G iPhone announced yesterday. Yada yada yada no need for a post about that, I think the real question that no one is addressing is when is the price of the Touch going to go down.

The new iPhone costs 199 for the 8GB and 299 for the 16GB, while the Touch costs 299 for the 8GB and 399 for the 16GB. Is this a discount on the iPhone like with normal phones on a new contract?

Regardless it seems backwards to me that the iPhone costs less than the Touch eventhough it’s just a dumbed down version.

Long story short I want an iPod Touch and I am whiney.

I’m Still the King Baby!!

So I went away for a few days over the weekend to Harford.  I knew i was going to be going away for like 4 days so I left out the auto cat feeder and auto cat waterer. So anyways, I come home and the cats are just being rebellious. I believe they were trying to usurp me.

So I thought about it long and hard and I feel it came down to the food and water. They thought they didn’t need me any more. It’s like when animals are traveling in a pact and find a stream and plenty of fresh water they start to kill off the weaker animals, because they no longer need help and those weaker animals are going to run down the food supply. (On a side note, I assume this is what happened to Big Foot. And the Johnson family)

So long story short once they ran out of food, they realized who was the boss.

Me.
